
Bradford Bulls teams up with First Bus to support grassroots game and green travel
Bradford Bulls announces that First Bus has become an official partner help grow grassroots interest in rugby league and support greener goals of the club.
To celebrate the agreement, members of its Bradford Bulls Foundation showed off new kit for the upcoming season which features the First Bus logo, together with mascot Bullboy, club management and the bus operator’s Bradford depot team at Bartercard Odsal Stadium.
The club and First Bus will work together to promote the sustainability ambitions of both organisations throughout the 2025-26 season.
The support of First Bus will help to fund community visits to schools and junior clubs by the Bradford Bulls Foundation team.
Ian Stafford, Commercial Manager of the club, said: "We are delighted to welcome First Bus as an official partner of Bradford Bulls. Their support will play a vital role in growing grassroots rugby league and engaging with our local communities.
“This partnership not only strengthens our outreach efforts but also aligns with our shared commitment to sustainability. We look forward to working together throughout the 2025 season to inspire the next generation of players and fans while promoting greener initiatives."
Lucy Mottram, Marketing Manager for First Bus in West Yorkshire, said: “We’re thrilled to begin this partnership and support the work of its Foundation in bringing the game into the community.
“We look forward to attracting more fans to love and use the bus when the season gets underway in February.”
First Bus has a clear strategy to reduce emissions and create cleaner air in towns and cities. This is being achieved with its Bradford fleet operating to the best ultra-low emissions standards.
A total of eight First Bus services operate to stops providing a short walk to Bartercard Odsal Stadium. These are: 363, 508, 645, 681, 682, 686, 687 and 688.
Lucy added: “This partnership builds on our shared goal of helping to reduce the carbon footprint of fans.”
