First Manchester ticketing systems ready for introduction of fares cap

First Manchester has confirmed that its ticketing systems have been adjusted to process capped single and day fares agreed with the mayor and Great Manchester Combined Authority which will be introduced this weekend (Sunday 4 September).

Single fares will be a maximum £2 for adults and £1 for children aged 11-16.

The FirstDay ticket prices reduce to £5 for adults and £2.50 for children and are available to buy on the bus or the First Bus app. Current cross-boundary journeys that go beyond Greater Manchester will continue to be possible using the FirstDay ticket.
